Cricket and cruise control ;P

Hey hey :)
Hope you are all well and are enjoying the long weekend?
I know I say this all the time but I just can't believe it's almost the end of January already! It was only just Xmas the other day...LOL

We've just spent a week in Orange for the Western cricket tournament for Jye. It was the best week ever and the icing on the cake was that our team won the whole carnival ! (Under 13 Camden District Rep. side). I was so proud of all the boys who played the 4 days straight in searing heat, putting on a performance for us each and every game...it was AWESOME! The games were 50 overs each so they started at 10.00a.m and finished around 5.30-6.00pm-ish...huge days for all of them. There were 12 teams involved from Wagga Wagga, Illawarra, Shoalhaven, Penrith and Orange (forget the rest) so it was a massive achievement for our boys to win outright! Woohoo!
Here are some pics of the week:

I also learnt something on the drive home. Michael picked up a tummy bug on the last day so I drove part of the way home and the subject of cruise control on the new car came up. Now I've been whingeing and whining since we bought the car that the cruise control didn't work but Michael kept assuring me it was working fine for him. I was complaining that every time I put it on I still had to keep my foot on the accelerator even though the cruise light was on. So I'm driving along and I showed him what I meant, sure enough the car slowed down.
I was quite bewildered when he started laughing and explained that yes the cruise control light was on but you then have to set it to what speed you want the car to drive at! Ohhhhhhhhhhhh.....now I get it!
Now I know how to use it properly I'm quite the cruise control user so if you see a white Subaru burning down the M5 on cruise control with a chick sitting in the drivers seat looking cool and grinning like a Cheshire cat...its me!! Give me a honk :)

My Project 365 is coming along nicely and I'm happy to say I haven't missed a day of taking a photo yet :)
Although I've only managed to put together up to Week 2 on PS...LOL
Here we go:
Jan 8 - Jye relaxing at home, on the lounge, with his cricket bat (this is a common scene the bat is more loved than me!!)
Jan 9 - Jack built a boat from a model he got from Grandpa and Maureen for Xmas.
Jan 10 - Celebrating Grandpa's birthday at Warragamba.
Jan 11 - Left for Orange and took the boys for a drive around Mt Panorama on the way.
Jan 12 - First day of the tournament and Jye bowling.
Jan 13 - Photo of us MOCS (mothers of cricketing sons) having a drink after the day.
Jan 14 - Jye bowling again (look at that air!!)

I've done some scrapping and got 2 done in one night last week...WOOHOO! Here's one I've done :) Sorry for the crooked pic but I'm sure you get the idea.

I've also been tagged by Sonia and Michelle...YAY!!
I think I have to tag people which is going to be really hard as I think everyone has already been tagged with this one...LOL
So I choose: Kathie, Beth, Ruby, Dee, Petrina and Louise (thats if you haven't already been tagged)

This second tag is a really cool one.

Here's how it works:
1. Go to the section of your computer where you store all of your photos.
2. Select the 6th folder.
3. Select the 6th photo from that folder.
4. Post and explain about that picture.
5. Tag 6 other people.

This photo is of Jayden not long after I got the Canon and was taken one day out the front when I was playing around with the settings and annoying the crap out of him :)

So I tag: Dee, Tammy, Louise, Mardi, Petrina and Ruby :)
Last night Michael, Jye, Jack and I went into ANZ stadium to watch the 20/20 Finals between NSW and VIC and I must say it was a game and a half! NSW won by 1 run from the very last ball and would have to be one of the best games of cricket I've seen for a while... GO THE BLUES!

Well thats all for me. Have an awesome Australia Day tomorrow and celebrate with PRIDE this great country of ours!
Till next time,
S
